Base metal: Zinc Future up by 1.60 % in market


During evening trade Zinc futures jumped over 1 % in the domestic market on Thursday as investors and speculators extended their positions in the industrial metal on surge in physical demand despite the US Fed hiked rates for the second time this year, boosting financing costs for industry.

Zinc futures for June 2017 contract is trading at Rs 161.55 per kg, up by 1.60 %, after opening at Rs 159.30, against a previous close of Rs 159. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 162.45.
