On Monday Morning Natural gas jumped 2 % in the Domestic Market .
Natural gas futures jumped more than 2 per cent during noon trade in the domestic market on Monday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the energy commodity tracking a bullish trend in the overseas market as a smaller than expected gain in US stockpiles eased worries over a supply glut.
The EIA last Thursday reported that US gas inventories climbed by 73 billion cubic feet in the week ended May 13, 2016, falling short of the 78 billion cubic feet expected by analysts.
At the MCX, Natural gas futures for June 2016 contract were trading at Rs.142.8 per mmBtu, up by 2.96 per cent, after opening at Rs. 140.3, against the previous closing price of Rs. 138.7. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 143.3 till the trading.
